All products have been thoroughly tested to be free of defects. If any product should malfunction while used in its recommended environment during the applicable warranty period, Swedish Telecom OPTO can repair or replace the product at no charge.

In the unlikely event of a wrong or defective or failed item that you want to ask for return and refund within 15 days of delivery, immediately make note of the part number, serial number and description and proof of issue. Email us to submit part(s) and receive an RMA # and return instruction. Return tracking No. must be provided within 7 working days after you receive the RMA in order to get a full refund (refunds don't include freight charge and transaction cost). You should expect to receive your refund within 1 months of giving your package to the return shipper; however, in many cases you will receive a refund sooner. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (7 to 30 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

RMA is not acceptable if:

  • Products exceed the warranty period.
  • Products don't accord with Swedish Telecom OPTO warranty policy.
  • No RMA agreement was reached with a Swedish Telecom OPTO sales representative before RMA.
  • RMA is not done based on Swedish Telecom OPTO RMA instructions.


Warranty period is 1 up to 3 years depending on the products. 3-year warranty applies for: DAC cables (passive and active), AOC Cables, Fiber Optic Transceivers. 1-year warranty applies for switchers and converters, the optical system and patch cords. The warranty period for power adapters is 6 months and for consumer cables – 3 months.

This warranty right only lies in the initial purchaser of Swedsih Telecom OPTO products and is not transferable.

The warranty clause does not include any product damage caused by improper installation, accident hazards, natural disasters, misuse, low power or over-voltage, incorrect operation, poor environmental conditions and any unauthorized disassembly, repair or modification. The warranty clause does not apply to products with modified internal electronic information.

The warranty clause does not include system problems caused by third-party software, upgraded software or upgraded IOS of the connecting devices.
